Membership Terms Of Service

 

1.0 For information about cooling-off rights see ‘Your rights to cancel in section 2.0’ below.

1.1 Your My Drone Pilot subscription package has a minimum term of 12 months and you cannot cancel your subscription during the minimum term unless you have a contractual right to do so.

1.2 You do have the option to pause your subscription within your minimum term if pre-agreed with My Drone Pilot. Please contact us at contact@mydronepilot.co.uk to discuss.

1.3 If you add or use any of the ‘Membership Benefits’ listed in section 3.1 you will be liable to pay the full retail price if you cancel your subscription during your 12-month minimum term. Ie If you start your A2CofC (A2 Certificate of Competency) and cancel within your minimum term you will be liable to pay the current retail price of the course in full, less any membership fees already paid to My Drone Pilot.

1.4 Where you have paid an upfront fee for 12 months of membership, we will continue to enable the service at no extra cost until the 12 month period ends.

1.5 One-off charges you owe us (including fees for benefits you have taken) will be charged directly to any credit or debit card which you have provided us with details of. We will give you reasonable notice before making the charge. Please tell us if you don’t want us to use these card details for this purpose.

1.6 We may change the terms of your contracts with us. Unless we are unable to do so for legal or regulatory reasons, we will give you 31 days’ notice in writing of any change.

1.7 If you take up a special offer, the terms and conditions of the relevant products and services will be varied to take account of the offer terms and conditions.

1.8 Must be 18 or older, or be 13 or older and have parent or guardian consent.

 

2.0 Cancellation period: You have the right to cancel your My Drone Pilot Subscription within 30 days (cooling off period)

Please note:

2.1 All benefits listed to My Drone Pilot members will be able to be redeemed after your cooling off period

2.2 The right above does not apply in the case of a benefit if you asked for it to be made available during the cooling off period and My Drone Pilot asked you to acknowledge that you would lose the right to cancel at that point and you did so.

2.3My Drone Pilot may offer an enhanced cooling off period from time to time which we will advise you of at the time of your purchase.

3.0 The listed benefits and services are subject to change, we will notify you within 14 days of any changes made

3.1 List of benefits included for subscribers that are subject to charge if the subscription is ended during your minimum term:

  • 3.1a A2 CofC (A2 Certificate of Competency)  [chargeable value of £249.99 inclusive of VAT]
  • 3.1b Annual Drone User Magazine Digital Subscription [chargeable value of £39.99 inclusive of VAT]
  • 3.1c My Drone Pilot Starter Pack [chargeable value of £10 inclusive of VAT]


4.0 How to cancel
 

4.1Any cancellation within this timeframe must be in accordance with this notice. You can cancel your My Drone Pilot Subscription by:

4.2 You must give your name, customer account number, address, postcode, telephone number and e-mail address to cancel your subscription. If you cancel in writing we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt by e-mail.

4.3 Effects of cancellation: If you cancel an order during your cooling-off period, we will refund to you all payments received from you in connection with your subscription

4.4 If you requested a benefit or service to begin during the cooling-off period, you must pay us an amount which is proportionate to what was provided up to the point you cancelled your subscription. Proportionate costs are listed above in section 3.1.

 

5.0Commercial Quoting

5.1When a pilot(s) is submitting a quote, My Drone Pilot holds the right to deny or void quotes that are - 50% below the average quote for that requested job.

5.2Quotes are provided to clients on the basis they have the choice of the pilot(s). My Drone Pilot does not have any right to or choice in this process.
 

6.0 Membership Types

6.1 Hobby Pilots can pay for memberships to achieve benefits but will not be able to quote for commercial jobs without submitting valid permission to do so. 

6.2 My Drone Pilot has the right to make changes to member benefits from to add or remove benefits.

7.0 Benefits

7.1All discounted/trade price repairs and servicing applies only to equipment stated within your membership, and new equipment added must be updated via your online account. Updated equipment will only be authorized for discounts four weeks post update.

7.2 My Drone Pilot holds the right to classify damaged equipment as ‘’EOL or Beyond reasonable repair’’ as when it exceeds reasonable repair costs of 35% of RRP.

7.3The membership application must contain accurate and correct information about the company. All membership applications must be completed.

7.4 All membership requests are subject to approval by My Drone Pilot

7.5 My Drone Pilot reserves the right to refuse an application for membership without the need to justify its decision.

7.6 Accepted members will be notified within 48 hours informed of the effective date of membership.

7.7 Membership will commence from the date of approval of the membership application.

7.8 All members are issued with a membership starter pack.

7.9 Starter packs may be limited in supply, so delays are possible.

8.0 Membership Fees

8.1 My Drone Pilot reserves the right to increase or decrease the membership fee. If this occurs, members will be notified by email at least 28 days before the change.

8.2 Membership is valid from the date of payment until the plan expiry date.

8.3 If membership is cancelled for any reason, membership fees are non-refundable.

8.4 Subscriptions fee is inclusive of VAT.

8.5 We reserve the right to refuse memberships.
